The process of art making is the doorway to therapy, by using the materials freely in a non-judgmental environment is a way of beginning emotional discovery. You do not need to be “good at art”. It’s not about making beautiful finished artwork, its a way of expressing feelings especially when words are difficult to find.

Many people undertaking Art Therapy find the confidence and support to talk through their difficulties, this is welcomed and not compulsory.

Art Therapy works in a safe space and it may bring up some difficult emotions which can feel worse before better. I will support you through your Therapy and endeavor to help you gain a positive experience, that will build your confidence and self-esteem helping you to develop the resilience to cope better with life’s challenges.
